Black Combe Junior School Strategy for Disadvantaged pupils 2016-17
Black Combe Junior School works within the Millom Partnership of schools and has links to the South Lakes Rural Partnership. The school is committed to exploring and promoting thinking and learning skills within the curriculum and has been creative in is its provision of a high quality learning environment indoors and outdoors. Alternative classroom organisation has been developed to explore the use of ICT and technology.
Black Combe School's strategy for disadvantaged pupils draws on research from the Education Endowment Foundation . All the strategies have been chosen because they have worked well in our school over a number of years and have had a positive impact on the progress and achievement of disadvantaged pupils.
